Sevenlog Ghana Ltd won Best Customs House Agent of the year as well as Best CEO of the year at the 2021 Ghana Shippers Awards. Christophe Monmarche, CEO and co-founder of Sevenlog along with several staff members received the awards at the ceremony held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra. A total of 52 individuals and companies had been shortlisted for the 4th edition of the Ghana Shippers Awards, themed “The Digital Maritime and Shipping Industry: Impact on our Economy”.
This year’s awards aimed at identifying projects and individual achievements that have enabled shippers to set themselves apart from their competitors to produce clear and compelling value as well as other relevant results. This is the second time that Sevenlog Ghana has walked away with two awards; at the 2018 Shipping Awards they won Best Shipping Agent and Best Freight Forwarder of the Year.
This year’s coveted CEO award was the final accolade of the night and cherry on top of a successful year for the company. “It is with great humility that I have accepted the ‘CEO of the Year’ award for 2021,” says Christophe Monmarche. “I am grateful to my team of 75 at Sevenlog Ghana with whom I share the same passion, dedication and fighting spirit on a daily basis. Without you, this award would not have been possible. To my family, friends and partners in Ghana and beyond, I am forever indebted. Thank you for your trust. Let’s aim for a repeat next year.”
A Frenchman turned Ghanaian, Mr. Monmarche has worked in the shipping industry for 30 years – 27 of them in Sub Saharan Africa. He established Sevenlog in 2012 with headquarters in Tema and branches in Accra, Paga and Takoradi. He is currently in the process of opening offices in nearby west African countries. Sevenlog currently has a presence in over 2000 major air and sea ports worldwide.
