SEVENLOG DONATES FUNDS TO UKAMA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Sevenlog has donated funds to the Ukama Community Foundation Soup Kitchens in impoverished townships in South Africa. This contribution has provided 6,850 meals for underprivileged communities in the area.
“We are so thankful for Sevenlog’s donation”, said Janine Roberts, Founder and Head of Ukama Community Foundation. “Each week we serve between 9,000 and 10,000 meals and without sponsorship we are unable to go on. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support.”
Since its inception in 2014, Ukama Community Foundation has provided 700,000 nutritious meals to disadvantaged families. The economic crisis has meant that 2021 has been an incredibly hard year to try to raise funds to support feeding schemes but Ukama’s dedication and commitment to serving those in need did not falter, and they were still able to meet their targets week after week.
“Contributing to the mission of Ukama was important since they work so tirelessly to meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable community members” said Christophe Monmarche, CEO of Sevenlog. “We’re glad that we’ve been able to help support their work and the impact they have on communities in that region.” He added, “It has also been reassuring knowing that our full sponsorship value ends up where intended and everything is accounted for, due to Ukama’s transparency and embracing of technology. Their use of the digital tool iForms allowed a full audit process of purchases, deliveries and all expenses, including detailed delivery addresses that were made available to us as the sponsoring company”.
Sevenlog has requested that Ukama partners with a local company so that Ghanaians can be the beneficiaries of this generosity.
